This Rock and Roll Fundraiser was successfully launched last year by Mayor Ed Kennedy to combat the persistent issue of Youth homelessness in the City of Lowell. CTI estimates that there are over 100 young people in Lowell each year who are experiencing homelessness for a variety of reasons including family conflict and abuse, sexual identity, pregnancy, addiction or mental health issues, contact with the juvenile justice system or aging out of foster care.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Community Teamwork and their efforts to prevent youth homelessness. CTI works with teens to help them reunite with their families, or find safe, affordable housing on their own. In many cases it is simply a matter of helping a young person with a security deposit or to clear up past debts that can save them from spending years couch surfing, sleeping in their cars or in places not fit for human habitation.
If you would like to sponsor this amazing event, reserve tickets ($20 in advance/$25 at the door), or just learn more about the great local talent that will be donating their performances, please visit www.commteam.org/mayorsholidayfest or contact one of the event organizers listed below. DOORS OPEN AT 6PM. 781.459.0551 (CTI)
We hope that you will join us to help make it a success!
